Classical India and Nepal with Pushkar Itinerary
Day 1 (Tuesday): Arrival in Delhi
On arrival at the international airport in Delhi, our representative will escort you to the hotel. On arrival at the hotel, check in and relax for the day. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 2 (Wednesday): Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of New and Old Delhi. Visit Lotus Temple, Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, Raj Ghat, Connaught Place, Humayun's Tomb, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, and Qutub Minar. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 3 (Thursday): Delhi- Udaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for a flight to Udaipur. On arrival in the city of lakes and palaces, check in at the hotel and relax. Take an evening sunset cruise on Lake Pichola and return to the hotel for overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 4 (Friday): Udaipur
In the morning, proceed for a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Lake Palace, City Palace, Lake Pichola, Saheliyon ki Bari, and Jagdish Temple. Enjoy shopping at the local markets in the evening. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 5 (Saturday): Udaipur - Jodhpur
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Jodhpur. En route visit the Jain temples in Ranakpur. On arrival in Jodhpur, check in at the hotel and relax. Take an evening walk to the local markets and enjoy its festive spirit. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 6 (Sunday): Jodhpur - Pushkar
In the morning, proceed for a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Enjoy shopping at the local markets in the evening. Drive to Pushkar in the afternoon. On arrival in the holy city that hosts the annual cattle fair, check in at the tents and proceed for a sightseeing tour of the Lord Brahma Temple and the Pushkar Lake. Return to the tents for an overnight stay in Pushkar.
Day 7 (Monday): Pushkar
After breakfast at the hotel, spend the entire day at the Pushkar Fair - world's largest cattle fair. Return to the tents for an overnight stay in Pushkar.
Day 8 (Tuesday): Pushkar - Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Jaipur. On arrival in the Pink City, check in at the hotel and proceed for a half day sightseeing tour. Visit City Palace and Museum, Jantar Mantar Observatory, Hawa Mahal, Birla Temple, Jaigarh Fort, and Nahargarh Fort. Later in the evening, explore the colorful ancient markets of the city. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 9 (Wednesday): Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the majestic Amber Fort on an elephant ride the maharaja style. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 10 (Thursday): Jaipur - Agra
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri and check in at the hotel. Proceed for a sightseeing tour of Agra, after refreshments at the hotel. Visit Agra Fort, Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah and Akbar's Tomb at Sikandra. The rest of the day is free for you to spend at leisure. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Agra.
Day 11 (Friday): Agra - Jhansi - Khajuraho
After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the railway station to board the train heading for Jhansi. On arrival, drive to Khajuraho. Once there, check in at the hotel and go on a guided sightseeing tour of the temple complexes and study the exotic sculptures and tableaux that cover the walls from the apex to the base. The 1000 year old Chandela temples in the Western Group are the best preserved and come with beautiful gardens apt for walks. Attend the evening light and sound show and feast your eyes on the lit temples in the background. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Khajuraho.
Day 12 (Saturday): Khajuraho - Varanasi
Arrive in Varanasi airport, transfer to the hotel and check into your room. Attend the evening aarti on the ghats (banks) of Ganga and return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 13 (Sunday): Varanasi
Go on an early morning boat ride on the Ganges to catch the people bathing and praying to the sun rising in the sky. Return to hotel for breakfast and proceed for a sightseeing tour of the oldest surviving city in the world. Visit the temples dotting the skyline such as Bharat Mata Temple and Benaras Hindu University. Later in the day, go on a brief excursion to the nearby Buddhist city of Sarnath. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 14 (Monday): Varanasi - Kathmandu
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to board the flight to Kathmandu. Our representative will escort you to the hotel. Check in, refresh and relax. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 15 (Tuesday): Kathmandu
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Visit Royal Palace, Temple of the Living Goddess, Darbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhnath (World's largest Stupa), Lion Gate, Picture Gallery, Golden Gate, and Palace of 55 Windows. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 16 (Wednesday): Kathmandu
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Patan. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 17: Kathmandu - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for a flight to Delhi. On arrival, board the flight back home or to your onward destination.
