Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Overnight stay at the Imperial Hotel
OOn arrival at the international airport in Delhi, our representative will escort you to the hotel. After a traditional Indian welcome at the reception, check in and relax for the day. Enjoy the various hotel facilities and treat yourself to an authentic Indian dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi
Overnight stay at the Imperial Hotel
In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of New and Old Delhi. Drive through the Rajpath and sightsee the Parliament, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Diplomatic Enclave. Later, take a rickshaw ride to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, Chandi Chowk markets, Red Fort, and Rajghat. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi - Varanasi
Overnight stay at Taj Ganges
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to board the Jet Airways flight to Varanasi. On arrival, check in at the hotel and proceed on a brief excursion to Sarnath (5 km from Varanasi) and check out the ruins of a major Buddhist monastery and the Museum that has preserved the remains of Buddhist art and sculpture excavated from the site. Later, attend the evening aarti on the ghats (banks) of Ganga and return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 4: Varanasi - Khajuraho
Overnight stay at Taj Chandela
Go on an early morning boat ride on the Ganges that starts from Daswamedh Ghat (the oldest cremation grounds in India) to catch the people bathing and praying to the sun rising in the sky. After breakfast, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Varanasi. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Gyanvapi Mosque, Banaras Hindu University besides other prominent temples, mosques, and museums. Later in the day, visit a carpet industry that has become the hallmark of Varanasi in recent years. Return to the hotel and transfer to airport to board the Jet Airways flight to Khajuraho. On arrival in Khajuraho, check in at the hotel and go on a stroll to the nearby temples and adjoining village. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Khajuraho.
Day 5: Khajuraho
Overnight stay at Taj Chandela
After breakfast at the hotel, go on a guided sightseeing tour of the 1000 year old Chandela temples in the Western Group. Post lunch proceed for a guided temple tour in the scattered Eastern and Southern complexes. Later in the evening go on a hike to the local village. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Khajuraho.
Day 6: Khajuraho - Orchha - Gwalior
Overnight stay at Usha Kiran Palace
After an early morning breakfast at the hotel, leave on a 4-hour drive Orchha 9170 km from Khajuraho), a city founded by Bundela rulers that has many 16th and 17th century palaces and temples that bespeak of its glorious past. After sightseeing, have lunch and board the super fast train to Gwalior. On arrival in the historic city of Gwalior, check in at the hotel, refresh and proceed for a brief sightseeing tour of Gwalior Fort, Scindia Palace, tombs of Ghaus Mohammed and Tansen and walks to the local market. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Gwalior.
Day 7: Gwalior - Agra
Overnight stay at Amarvilas
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a leisurely city tour. Visit Gurjari Mahal, Man Mandir Palace, Sas Bahu ki Mandir, Royal Palace, Suraj Kund and Cenotaphs. Return to the hotel for lunch and onward journey to Agra. After a 3-hour drive to Agra (119 km from Gwalior), arrive in Agra, check in at the hotel and relax for the day. Later in the evening, explore the colorful markets of the city and shop for souvenirs and eat out or return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Agra. Visit to the Taj Mahal in the moonlight can be arranged on request.
Day 8: Agra
Overnight stay at Amarvilas
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Agra, a city famous for its Mughal architecture and monuments that mark the pinnacle of eternal love. Visit Agra Fort, Itimad-ud-Daulah, Akbar's Tomb and Taj Mahal by twilight on a battery van ride. Visit to the Taj Mahal in the moonlight can be arranged on request. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Agra.
Day 9: Agra - Jaipur
Overnight stay at Rajvilas
Drive to Jaipur (6-hour journey, 221 km), after breakfast at the hotel. En route, detour for Fatehpur Sikri, a ruined fort city established by Akbar and take a heritage walk to the palaces, mosques, pavilions, tombs, and Buland Darwaza (the largest gateway in the world). On arrival in the Pink City, check in at the hotel and relax for the day. Explore the colorful ancient markets of the city in the evening or enjoy the hotel facilities. The majestic forts and palaces aligned on the massive city walls are never to far from sight. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 10: Jaipur
Overnight stay at Rajvilas
In the morning, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Jaipur city. Visit Amber Fort (the former capital of Jaipur that can be approached by treks or elephant rides), City Palace (famous for its Mughal-Rajasthani architectural blend, Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum), Jantar Mantar Observatory (the finest of the 5 astronomical observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh II), Hawa Mahal (five-storied pink sandstone Palace of Winds'), Birla Temple (white marble Vishnu temple), Jaigarh Fort (famous of the largest cannon-wheel) and Nahargarh Fort (now a heritage hotel). Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 11: Jaipur - Chhatrasagar
Overnight stay in Swiss Tents
After an early morning breakfast, proceed of a 4-hour journey to Nimaj Fort (170 km from Jaipur). On arrival, visit the fort, the local village, markets, and the 9th century Magar Temple. Later, post lunch, trek along the Chhatrasagar Lake that as served as a water reservoir for the Maharajas and the locals alike. Take a boat ride on this 100 year old lake. Nimaj forests have served as a game reserve for Maharajas and there are still many campsites still in place. Arrive at one such camp of dinner and overnight stay in Chhatrasagar.
Day 12: Chhatrasagar - Deogarh - Udaipur
Overnight stay at Udaivilas or Lake Palace
After breakfast at the hotel, leave on a 6-hour drive to Udaipur (220 km from Chhatrasagar) via Deogarh. On arrival, visit the Deogarh Mahal, lunch with the descendents of the Maharajas of Jaipur and take a walking heritage tour of the castle. Later, walk to the local village, traditional markets and interact with the colorful desert people. After sightseeing continue your journey to Udaipur. On arrival in the city of lakes and palaces and the rising sun, after just one hour after takeoff, check in at the hotel and relax for a while. The day is free for you to enjoy the city at your own pace. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 13: Udaipur
Overnight stay at Udaivilas or Lake Palace
In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Udaipur that includes visits to City Palace, Jag Mandir Palace (an island palace), Saheliyon-Ki-Bari, Museum, and Jagdish Temple. Post lunch proceed for an excursion to the 15th century Kumbhalgarh fort and the temples of Eklingi and Nagada. Rest of the evening is free for you to spend it on leisure activities. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 14: Udaipur - Jodhpur
Overnight stay at Umaid Bhavan Palace or Taj Hari Mahal
After an early breakfast at the hotel, leave for a 6-hour drive to Jodhpur (260 km from Udaipur). On arrival in the desert city, check in at the hotel, refresh and relax. Post lunch proceed for a tour of the grand Mehrangarh Fort. Later check out the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 15: Jodhpur
Overnight stay at Umaid Bhawan Palace or Taj Hari Mahal
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana, Daulat Khana, Jaswant Thada Memorial, and a group of royal white marble cenotaphs. Later in the day, walk to the local Bishnoi villages set along the desert countryside of Rajasthan. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 16: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer

After breakfast at the hotel, leave on a 5-hour drive to Jaisalmer (300 km from Jodhpur). On arrival, check in at the hotel, refresh, and relax on a day that is free for you to enjoy at leisure. In the evening, attend the cultural performances, and shop at the traditional markets of Jaisalmer. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 17: Jaisalmer
Overnight stay at Laxmi Niwas Palace
In the morning, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of the desert Citadel. Visit Jaisalmer Fort, Manak Chowk, Patwon Ki Haveli, and Salim Singh Ki Haveli. Post lunch take a boat ride on Gadisar Lake, and go on a camel safari to Sam sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay at the designated campsite in Jaisalmer.
Day 18: Jaisalmer - Camel Safari - Jodhpur
Overnight stay at Umaid Bhawan Palace or Taj Hari Mahal
After breakfast at the camp, continue your camel safari in the morning through the isolated villages splurged on the Thar Desert. See the colorful people, the landmark temples, local schools, homes, and markets. Upon arrival at a designated village, take a jeep ride back to Jaisalmer. Check out from the hotel and leave on a 5-hour drive back to Jodhpur (330 km). On arrival in the desert city, check in at the hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 19:Jodhpur - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the airport to board the Indian Airlines flight to Delhi. On arrival in the historic city of Delhi, if the time permits, catch up on sightseeing or shop at the trendy or old markets. Later, transfer to the airport for flight back home or to your onward destination.
