Day 1: Arrival in Kochi
On arrival at the international airport in Kochi, our representative will escort you to the hotel. After a traditional welcome at the reception, check into your room, refresh and proceed for a meeting with the appointed tour ornithologist/ lepidopterist. After a briefing of the butterfly spotting trip, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Kochi.

Day 2: Kochi - Thattekkad
Drive to Thattekkad after an early morning breakfast at the hotel. On arrival, check in at the Estate Bungalow or local camp and proceed for a round of butterfly spotting. Thattekkad is particularly famous for butterfly species such as Malabar Rose, Paris Peacock, Gladeye Bushbrown, Tamil Catseye, Whitebar Bushbrown, Blue Mormon, Malabar Raven, and Red Pierrot. Return to the camp / Estate Bungalow for dinner and overnight stay in Thattekkad, Kerala.

Day 3: Thattekkad - Munnar
After breakfast at the camp/ bungalow, drive to Munnar, a hill station in Kerala famous for its plantations and waterfalls. En route, go on a jungle safari into the Rajamalai Wildlife Sanctuary home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr species. On arrival in Munnar, check in at the resort and proceed for another exalting day of butterfly spotting. Check out the many colorful species of butterflies especially the Bluebottle, Indian Cabbage White, Common Jezebel, Red Helen, Palni Four Ring, Red Disk Bushbrown, Tailed Jay, Nilgiri Tiger, and Giant Orange Tip. Return to the resort for dinner and overnight stay in Munnar, Kerala.

Day 4: Munnar - Chinnar - Munnar
Drive to Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary after an early morning breakfast and tour of the spice plantation at the resort. The sanctuary's topographical features, deciduous forests and rain dominated weather patterns serve as an ideal breeding ground for many butterfly species. Check out the Yellow Pansy, Great Eggfly, Blue Pansy, Travencore Evening Brown, Tamil Lacewing, Malabar Banded Swallowtail, Fivebar Swordtail, Cruise, and Southern Duffer on your butterfly spotting tour. Later in the day, return to the resort in Munnar for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Munnar - Periyar
After breakfast at the resort in the morning, go on a trek to the waterfalls, dams, and plantations. Later in the afternoon, check out from the resort and drive to Periyar, Kerala. On arrival in Periyar, check in at the forest lodge and proceed for an evening butterfly spotting tour to the nearby green belts. Check out Malabar Rose, Paris Peacock, Blue Mormon, Gladeye Bushbrown, Whitebar Bushbrown, Red Pierrot, Malabar Raven, Clipper, and Tamil Catseye fluttering through the foliage. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay in Periyar, Kerala.

Day 6: Periyar
After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, proceed on another day of butterfly spotting. This time spot along the water bodies in Periyar namely the lake and streams. Later, go on a guided short trek to the Periyar forest for more rewarding butterfly spotting experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay in Periyar, Kerala.

Day 7: Periyar - Kochi
After breakfast at the lodge, drive back to Kochi. On arrival, transfer to the airport for a flight back home or to your onward destinations.
