Chittorgarh Fort: The pride of Chittorgarh, the Chittorgarh fort, was built by the later Maurya rulers in the 7th century A.D. It's spread over an area of 700 acres on a 180m high hill. Bhim, one of the Pandava heroes of the Mahabharata, is associated with the fort's original construction. One can experience all the attractions of Chittorgarh in the fort. The main gates of the fort are Padal Pol, Hanuman Pol and Bhairon Pol.
Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory): Vijay Stambh was built in 1440 A.D. by Maharana Kumbha to commemorate his victory over Mohamed Khilji. It rises up to 37m in 9 carved storeys adorned by the Hindu scriptures. You can climb to the 8th floor and enjoy a good view of the whole town.
Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame): Kirti Stambh was built by a wealthy Jain merchant in the 12th century. It's 22m high and is older and smaller than the Vijay Stambh. Rana Khumbha Palace: Rani Padmini's jauhar (self immolation on a burning pyre) is said to have taken place in the underground cellars of this ruined edifice.
Padmini Palace: According to a legend, Queen Padmini used to sit in this pavilion. Ala-ud-din Khilji was permitted to see her refection in a mirror in the palace. After seeing her glimpse, he got the spark to possess her. Thus, this palace is linked with the battle between Ala-ud-din Khilji and Rana Ratan Singh.
