Day 1: Delhi (Wednesday)
Arrive at the Delhi Cantonment station in the afternoon to board the Palace on Wheels luxury, one of the finest luxury trains in India and the world. Enjoy the stately treatment at the luxuriously furnished rooms, bars, salons, restaurants, and spa on your overnight journey to Jaipur.

Day 2: Jaipur (Thursday)
After breakfast aboard the luxury train, alight to a tradition welcome and lunch at the Rambagh Palace. Later, move for a half day sightseeing tour of Jaipur city. Visit Amber Fort, City Palace and Museum, Jantar Mantar Observatory, Hawa Mahal, Nahargarh Fort, and Birla Temple and revel in Rajasthan's desert landscape and grandeur that has inspired many romances over the centuries. Return to the station to board the Palace on Wheels for dinner and overnight journey to Jaisalmer.

Day 3: Jaisalmer (Friday)
After breakfast aboard the luxury train, move for sightseeing tour of the city. Visit the grand Jaisalmer Fort built in golden sandstone and study the ease with which this colossal structure blends in with the dominant Thar Desert landscape. The afternoon is reserved for camel safaris to Sam sand dunes, sand-surfing, sunset viewing, cultural performances, and shopping at the traditional markets of Jaisalmer. Return to the luxurious comforts of Palace on Wheels for dinner and overnight journey to Jodhpur.

Day 4: Jodhpur (Saturday)
After breakfast aboard the luxury train, move for a half day sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhavan Palace, and a group of white marble cenotaphs of royal origin in the afternoon. Return to the Palace on Wheels for lunch and journey to Sawai Madhopur, gateway to Ranthambore National Park. Evening tea and overnight stay on the luxurious Palace on Wheels.

Day 5: Sawai Madhopur - Chittaurgarh (Sunday)
Go on a jungle safari to Ranthambore National Park after breakfast aboard the luxury train. The open-top jeeps afford you a panoramic view of the game at its best. Catch the birds and animals in action on an elephant safari. You can also trek to the Ranthambore Fort within the national park premises. Return to the Palace on Wheels for lunch and onward journey to Chittaurgarh. On arrival, move for a sightseeing tour of Chittaurgarh. Visit the legendary Chittaurgarh Fort that has seen the rise and fall of Rajputs and Mughal Empires. Return to the Palace on Wheels for dinner.

Day 6: Udaipur (Monday)
After breakfast aboard the luxury train at Chittaurgarh, board the luxury coach that takes you on a sightseeing tour of the four centuries old Udaipur, famously known as 'the city of lakes'. Visit the Lake Palace (location for Octopussy), City Palace, Lake Pichola and Jagdish Temple. Return to the Palace on Wheels at Chittorgarh for dinner and overnight journey to Bharatpur.

Day 7: Bharatpur (Tuesday)
After breakfast aboard the luxury train, go on a drive to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary at the Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Abode of the Siberian Crane, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is also home to many endangered native and migratory birds. Return to the Palace on Wheels for dinner and overnight journey to Agra.

Day 8: Agra (Tuesday)
After breakfast aboard the luxury train as it nears Agra, visit the ruined fort city of Fatehpur Sikri. Built in red sandstone, the palaces, mosque and shrine of Saint Salim Chisti at Fatehpur Sikri speak of the saga that marked the rise and fall of Akbar, Mughal Emperor. Post lunch aboard the Palace on Wheels, reach Agra and visit the most recognizable landmark in the world - Taj Mahal. Later, visit the colossal Agra Fort, a symbol of Mughal dynasty's unyielding power, and its many palaces, mansions, and museums. Return to the Palace on Wheels for dinner and overnight journey back to Delhi Cantonment.

Day 9: Delhi (Wednesday)
Chug into the station with royal pageantry of yesteryears. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast aboard the Palace on Wheels before disembarking from the train and proceeding for a flight back home or to your onward destination.
